Jessilyn Dolan, RN, CMT, CLD is a cannabis nurse, researcher, educator, activist, patient and caregiver. Jessilyn understands the life-changing impact cannabis and alternative medicine can have.

From early childhood continuing into adulthood, Jessilyn has had over three dozen surgeries, and is beyond grateful for the support of plant medicine along the way.

Jessilyn is a Vermont state vendor trainer for cannabis retail employee education and offers a FREE, community supported Nurse hotline for Vermonters.

Jessilyn is founder of the Vermont Cannabis Nurses Association (VTCNA), President of the American Nurses Association-Vermont (ANA-VT), and a former director of the American Cannabis Nurses Association (ACNA). Jessilyn is a certified cannabis sommelier.

Jessilyn co-founded NurseGrown Organics, Vermont hemp and CBD, Vermont’s first Clean Green Certified hemp farm after years of cultivating cannabis, in-depth research and not being able to find any local products that met the appropriate and in-depth lab testing and formulation standards necessary to ensure consumer safety.

Jessilyn completed the University of Vermont’s Cannabis Science and Medicine Professional Certificate program and worked as a research nurse at the University of Vermont’s College of Medicine, Center on Behavior and Health in clinical research in opioid, substance use and mental health disorders, and of course, cannabis.

Her research entitled “Human milk feeding and Cannabis Use: Recommendations from the Field Post Cannabis Legalization In Vermont” is a five year follow-up study, one year post-legalization, to “Surveying Lactation Professionals Regarding Marijuana Use and Breastfeeding.”, was presented and published at CannX International Medical Cannabis Conference 2022 in Tel Aviv, Israel with Raphael Mechoulam‘s team.

Jessilyn has decades of experience as both a birth worker and labor and delivery nurse. Jessilyn co-founded the University of Vermont Medical Center’s Labor Doula Program and has trained hundreds of doulas over the years. As a national speaker and relentless advocate for vulnerable families, Jessilyn was Labor Doula Faculty for CAPPA (Childbirth and Postpartum Association) and continues to serve on the Vermont Lactation Association Board. Jessilyn managed a residential and community treatment facility and program for pregnant and parenting families for substance use recovery, opioid medication assisted treatment, and newborn withdrawal. As an intuitive healer and energy worker, Jessilyn has been studying and practicing alternative therapy for decades. Before becoming a nurse, Jessilyn owned and operated her own wellness and yoga center.

Over two decades ago, Jessilyn began studying herbology with Rosemary Gladstar at the Sage Mountain Herbal Retreat Center and Botanical Sanctuary. She completed a Traditional Chinese Medicine Apprenticeship and is an Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist.  Jessilyn is a Certified Massage Therapist, Reiki and Craniosacral practitioner. She was a professor in the Community College of Vermont’s former massage therapy program teaching Anatomy and Physiology for Eastern and Western Perspectives and Reflexology.

Jessilyn combines her education, experience, heart and intuition tailoring her educational courses and webinars, individual consultations and hotline calls and body work sessions, and is honored to share her combined allopathic and holistic wisdom and the spirit of this sacred plant with you.
